More than a place of worship, First Baptist Church is a place where strangers become friends and friends become family. Whether it’s stepping out from the pews to greet one another in Christian love or sharing a conversation over dessert during our regular coffee hours, First Baptist Church members take the time to know one another, share in our joys and lift one another up in times of need.
Throughout the year, members enjoy a coffee hour following Communion Sunday services. And, since no one knows food better than the Baptists, you won't want to miss our quarterly potluck meals. Bring a dish to pass, and enjoy some of the best cooking in Western New York while getting to know our church family. Each fall, the Church also hosts an annual fall picnic.
Bacon. Bagels. And the Bible. Once a month, join the men of First Baptist Church for insightful, thought-provoking conversation before Sunday service.
Each year, the Church hosts the Kringle Brothers and Guests for a holiday concert. A fundraiser for the congregation, the event features a penny auction and baked goods sale as well.
The men of the church hand-built a grill large enough to cook a dozen chickens at a time. One of our most popular fundraisers, the BBQs take place several times a year, a feature a fantastic meal of chicken quarters and homemade macaroni salad and coleslaw.
Each November, cast your vote, then come by the Church where $5 will get you a hotdog, chips, drink, and All-American dessert, apple pie. Hosted every year on Election Day.
While enjoying a shared meal, members of the Church recap the events of the year, elect new leadership positions, and plan for the year ahead.
